Mushroom cultivation is a profitable deal for the farmers. Many farmers who used to do traditional farming earlier are making tremendous income from mushroom cultivation today. The inclination of the farmers of Himachal Pradesh towards mushroom cultivation has increased a lot. So far, about 17,000 quintals of mushrooms are being produced in Jammu. Apart from these states, farmers of other states are also moving towards its cultivation.
In view of this increasing interest of farmers towards mushroom cultivation, many state governments are also running awareness campaigns in this regard. Along with this, the state government is also providing subsidies to the farmers for the construction of the mushroom shed. Not only this, but the government is also providing organic fertilizers to the farmers for its improved cultivation.
