Farmers will get benefits for 3 consecutive years, know what is the government’s plan?

Cultivation of only one type of crop adversely affects the yield potential of the soil, which is why agricultural experts advise farmers to cultivate crops other than traditional crops like wheat and paddy. The government also keeps on encouraging the farmers in this regard. In this episode, the “Crop Diversification Scheme” is being run by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Under this scheme, government assistance will be given to the farmers for 3 years. The biggest benefit of this scheme would be to increase the production capacity of the farms and benefit the environment. Explain that in this scheme, instead of wheat and paddy, farmers cultivating such crops will get benefits, which crops are not kept under the minimum support price (MSP). Horticulture crops will mainly be included in this.
