The water crisis is seen in many areas of the country and one of these states is Rajasthan. Water scarcity is a major problem for the farmers here. To solve this problem, the government is running Kisan Farm Pond Scheme. Under this, the farmer gets the assistance of up to Rs 90000. With this amount, farmers can build ponds in their fields in which rainwater can be collected. In the end, this water can be used for agricultural purposes if needed.

Under this scheme, farmers get help in two ways. Farmers can make raw ponds. About 1200 cubic meters of water can be collected in this pond. Apart from this, farmers can also make such a pond in which rainwater can be collected for a long time.

Under this scheme, all categories of farmers of Rajasthan will get 60% of the cost or a maximum of Rs.63000 on the raw pond and Rs.90000 on the plastic lining pond.
