A tractor is an important tool used in agricultural work, but it is not available to every farmer because it is very expensive. Keeping this problem of farmers in view, the subsidy is given by different state governments for the purchase of tractors. Generally, the government gives subsidies of 20 to 50% on tractors.
If you are a farmer of Uttar Pradesh then you can get a subsidy of 30% on buying a new tractor. This subsidy is given by the Horticulture Department. Under this, 75 thousand rupees are given to the general farmers on the purchase of tractors up to 20 HP, while a huge subsidy of 1 lakh rupees is given to the scheduled caste farmers.
