In the Economic Budget 2022-23 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, special emphasis has been given to green farming and green energy. He informed that Krishi Vardhak Nidhi will be introduced to the farmers. Through this, agriculture-related startups will be promoted.
In the address of the Finance Minister, the things done regarding the agriculture sector
A digital accelerator fund will be created for agricultural startups, which has been named Krishi Nidhi.
An amount of 6,000 crores has been allocated for Pradhan Mantri Matsya Yojana.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told that the agricultural credit target will increase to 20 lakh crores.
Nirmala Sitharaman told that the government is promoting coarse cereals.
An amount of 2,200 crores has been allocated for horticulture produce.
The Finance Minister said that digital infrastructure for agriculture will increase, along with modern technology in agriculture will also be increased.
Referring to small farmers, Finance Minister Sitharaman said that the allocation of PM Awas Yojana has been increased by 66% to 79,000 crores.
