In this meeting, Madhya Pradesh has been given a target of purchasing 135 lakh tonnes of wheat. Explain that this goal is the highest among all the states of the country.

After Madhya Pradesh, Punjab has been given a target of buying 130 lakh tonnes of wheat. Among other states, Haryana has been targeted to purchase 80 lakh tonnes, Uttar Pradesh 55 lakh tonnes, Rajasthan 22 lakh tonnes, Uttarakhand 2.20 lakh tonnes, Gujarat 1.5 lakh tonnes and Bihar 1 lakh tonnes.

Farmers of Madhya Pradesh have achieved great success in wheat production. Madhya Pradesh has set a new record in the wheat procurement process despite Corona global epidemic and nationwide lock down. This was announced by Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Kamal Patel himself. Announcing this, he has also congratulated the farmers of the state.

On this subject, the Agriculture Minister said that “Due to the hard work of the farmers, today our state has come at number one in the country in the procurement of wheat. The farmers have produced a lot of wheat this year.” Explain that the Madhya Pradesh government has achieved the first position in the country by earning a record-breaking record of more than 128 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. Earlier, Punjab used to come first in the matter of wheat procurement.

On this glorious success, the Agriculture Minister has congratulated all the farmers of the state and the team of officer-employees who have procured wheat. Minister Shri Patel said that “Madhya Pradesh government has received Krishi Karman Award for 7 consecutive times due to hard work of farmers”. With this, he has expressed confidence that in the future also the farmers of the state will make the state proud in this way.

Rabi crops continue to be procured across the country amid nationwide lockdown. Along with the purchase of wheat, now payment has also been made to farmers. But the bank has started deducting money from the farmers who had taken a loan from the bank for farming, due to which the farmers are not getting the full amount.

It is important to note that in Madhya Pradesh, most farmers take crop loans and farmers’ credit card loans to do farming. Farmers then fulfill this loan by selling their crop production. However, this year, due to rainfall and the corona epidemic, the savings of farmers have been very low. Due to which the farmers can face more problems due to the bank cutting the earning money.

Keeping these problems in mind, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has now ordered the banks not to deduct more than 50% of the outstanding loan amount from the amount of crop sold by farmers at minimum support price under the Rabi Earnings. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also instructed the banks to provide loans at zero percent interest to the farmers for the next crop.

Wheat procurement in Madhya Pradesh has been going on daily since April 15 and now its storage has also started. Wheat is being stored scientifically here. Madhya Pradesh has become the leading state in the country in terms of scientific storage. The 289 cooperative societies of the state have procured 11 lakh metric tonnes of wheat from more than 1 lakh of 81 thousand farmers. The acquired wheat is being stored in 25 silo bags and steel silos.

While explaining about silo bags and steel silos, Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Shri Shivasekhar Shukla said that this is the most modern technology for storing food grains. There is no need to use pesticides to preserve food for a long time. This technique can preserve wheat for a long time without using the pesticide.

This technique helps in maintaining social distancing
Principal Secretary Mr. Shukla explains that the silo-bagged technique is also helpful in maintaining the social distancing required to prevent corona infection. This technology requires less human labor in storage. In this method, the farmer reaches with his produce in a tractor, trolley or truck, then after weighing it with a weighing machine, its entire wheat is emptied for storage at once by the hydraulic system. This entire work takes only 15 to 20 minutes and does not gather much crowd.

Farmers begin receiving wheat procurement amount in MP, 200 crore given so far

It has been more than a week since the wheat procurement started in Madhya Pradesh on the support price. Now the farmers of the state have also started getting their wheat procurement money. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan himself gave this information. He said that “the process of sending the amount of wheat to farmers’ accounts has been started in the ongoing Rabi procurement work in the state. Approximately Rs 200 crore of the procurement amount has been sent to the banks. In the next 02-03 days, this amount will reach the farmers’ accounts. ”

Compared to last year, this time, twice the wheat has been sold through mandis. The Chief Minister himself was monitoring the work of Rabi procurement in the Ministry along with his ministers and other senior officials. Giving information related to the wheat procurement made so far in this meeting, it was informed that 81% of the purchases made so far have come from deal sheets. Under this, traders are buying wheat from the farmers’ house itself.

However, let us know that through the mandis, so far, twice as much wheat has been purchased as compared to last year. Till last year, 1.11 lakh metric tonnes of wheat were purchased from the mandis, while this time 2 lakh 14 thousand metric tonnes of wheat have been purchased so far.

He said that in the ongoing lockdown due to the Corona crisis, the government has started the work of purchasing wheat and other rabi crops at support price. He also gave other information related to the purchase in his message. He said that along with the mandis, private buying centers and traders have also been given the facility to sell from home through deal sheets.

The Chief Minister told the farmers that they should not worry, the government will buy every grain of your produce. In this message, he also discussed the last date of purchase. He said that wheat procurement will be done at the procurement centers by May 31 and farmers will be able to sell their produce by June 30 from the deal sheet. Along with this, the Chief Minister also asked the farmers to avoid corona infection and follow the lockdown.

Wheat procurement continues in MP, Wheat worth Rs 400 crore has been purchased so far

Taking all necessary precautions given the Corona crisis, wheat procurement was started on the support price in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh except Indore, Ujjain, and Bhopal from last 15 April. Today, a week has passed since this procurement work started.

In this entire week, wheat worth Rs 400 crore has been purchased from about 1.25 lakh farmers in the last week through about four thousand cooperative societies of the state. The procurement process is being extended further from Tuesday. In this, messages will be sent to about 25 thousand farmers. Society will call 25 farmers, with 20 small and five big farmers.
