Recently, many states of the country experienced severe cold along with rain due to which crops have suffered a lot. Farmers were also troubled by this loss but it can be compensated with the help of Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department has made a post on social media platform X regarding this scheme. In this post, it has been told that the farmers whose crops have been damaged due to unseasonal rains. They will get compensation under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. So that farmers do not have to face difficulties in farming and running their livelihood.

Let us tell you that to overcome the problems and uncertainties of crop loss, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana was started in the year 2016. Farmers from all the states of the country can take advantage of this scheme. It is noteworthy that through this scheme, apart from Kharif and Rabi crops, commercial and horticultural crops are also protected from seasonal uncertainties. Under this scheme, insurance companies have to pay a 2% premium on Kharif crops, a 1.5% premium on Rabi crops and a 5% premium on commercial and horticultural crops.
