Tarbandi Scheme Now Available for Farmers with Just 2 Bigha Land

Get fencing done in the fields on 50% grant

To protect crops from stray animals and wild creatures like nilgai and wild boars, the Rajasthan government has launched the ‘Tarbandi Yojana’ (Fencing Scheme). Under this scheme, farmers receive a subsidy of 50–70% to install fencing around their farmland. Earlier, the scheme was only available to farmers owning at least 1.5 hectares of land, but with the updated guidelines, even farmers with just 2 bigha (0.5 hectares) of land are now eligible. This move aims to help small farmers secure their crops and improve overall agricultural productivity.

How to Apply and Who is Eligible?
Farmers can apply for the Tarbandi Yojana online through the ‘Raj Kisan Sathi’ portal. Required documents include Aadhaar card, Jan Aadhaar card, proof of land ownership, and bank account details. Small and marginal farmers can get up to 60% subsidy (maximum ₹48,000), while general category farmers can receive 50% (maximum ₹40,000). Groups of 10 or more farmers applying together can get up to 70% subsidy. This scheme is a major step towards securing farmers’ hard work, increasing their income, and making agriculture more sustainable in rural Rajasthan.
