The central and state governments are constantly trying to help the farmers financially. In this episode, the Bihar government is running a diesel subsidy scheme for the farmers of its state. Under this farmers are given a subsidy of up to Rs 750 on diesel at the rate of Rs 25 per liter for cultivating an acre of land.

Eligibility to get subsidy on diesel

• Only one member of the farmer’s family can take advantage of the scheme.

• To get a subsidy, farmers must have their own bank account.

• Farmers who started irrigation by purchasing diesel by October 30 are eligible to apply.

Earlier, a subsidy of Rs 600 was given under the scheme, which has been increased to Rs 750. Remember, to take advantage of the scheme, apply on the official portal by 10 November 2022. Keep in mind, apply only by keeping all the necessary documents like an estimation of documents, signature on diesel receipt, registration number, etc.
