Seed treatment of Muskmelon

  • The muskmelon is sensitive against frost and some diseases eg.powdery mildew, downy mildew, root rot, and yellow mosaic etc.
  • For the management of these diseases, before sowing seed treatment should be applied.
  • Treat seed with carbendazim 50% WP fungicide @ 2g/kg of seed.
  • Or apply Carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5% fungicide 2g/kg of seed.
  • For the controlling of yellow mosaic virus, seed should be treated with imidacloprid 600 FS.  (48%) 1ml/kg seeds.
  • Then seed may treat with Trichoderma viride @ 4 gm per kg of seeds.
  • 20-30 min.time interval keeps for using next chemicals.
  • After treatment, dry seeds in shade and then do sowing immediately.

Soybean Seed Treatment

Soybean Seed Treatment :-Treat the soybean seeds with carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5 WP  @ 250 gms per quintal of seed before sowing. or treat the seeds with Carbendazim 12%+ Mancozeb 63% @ 250 gm per quintal of seed or Thiophanate methyl 45%+ Pyraclostrobin 5% FS @ 200 Ml/quintal of Seed. After that treatment treat the seed with Imidacloprid 30.5% SC @ 100 ml/ quintal of seed or Thiamethoxam 30% FS @ 250 Ml/ Quintal of seed  gets protection 30 Days from Sucking pest.

Seed treatment of wheat:-

  • Wheat should be treated with carboxin 37.5% + Thiram 37.5% or Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% at the rate of 2.5 gm per kg seed or Tebuconazole DS @ 1 Gm per kg seed before sowing avoid fungal diseases like root rot, Loose smut, Flag smut and other.
  • For protection from termite should be treated with Cloropyrifos 20% @ 4 Ml per kg seed.
