Most families in rural areas are making their living through agriculture. Apart from agriculture, many families are also running their livelihood by doing business like animal husbandry, handicrafts, small-scale industries, spinning-weaving, and dyeing-printing. However, it has been seen many times that due to financial constraints, these people are not able to expand their businesses.
For the financial assistance of these rural families, the Rajasthan government has taken an important step. Under the ‘Rajasthan Gramin Parivar Ajeevik Loan Yojana’, loans ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2 lakh will be given to the needy villagers of the state at no interest rate. With the help of this other businesses related to the rural economy will also get momentum.
Eligibility for the scheme
Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers, landless labourers, oral tenants, sharecroppers, and families working as tenants will be benefitted. Along with this, loans will also be made available to individual members of self-help groups, producer groups, and business groups for group activities. However, only a maximum of 10 members from each group will be able to get the group loan, which will be given a maximum of Rs 2 lakh individually. Apart from this, eligible rural families will also be selected by the District Collector.
Documents Required for Application
For non-agriculture loans under the scheme, the applicant must have a bank account, Aadhar card, or Janadhar and Kisan card. On the other hand, in the absence of a Kisan Credit Card, KCC will be issued for the applicant, for which no separate fee will be charged. Explain that after the release of the loan amount, one year will be given for its repayment.
