Crop Insurance Scheme will provide 50% subsidy, compensation will also be available on crop damage

The government is running many types of schemes to help the farmers in the country. One of the major schemes among these schemes is Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, with the help of which farmers get compensation for crop damage. Under this, government subsidy is also given to recover from crop loss.

Under this scheme, the premium of insurance cover on Rabi crops is 1.5% and about 50% subsidy is given to help in recovery from crop damage. If we talk about Kharif crops, the premium for insurance cover is 2% and for horticulture crops, the premium for insurance cover is 5%.

Apart from this, a document is also required for the address proof, for which the farmer has to show the documents related to farming and the Khasra number. A letter from the Pradhan, Patwari or Sarpanch has to be given for the authenticity of the crop sown. A cancelled check is also to be given so that the claim amount is credited directly to the account.

Farmers of this state will get immediate compensation for crop damage

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

Recently, there was heavy rain in many states of the country, due to which the farmers have suffered a lot. To make up for this loss, many state governments have announced compensation. In this series, the Uttar Pradesh government has also announced to provide compensation to the farmers of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

It may be noted that Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is providing compensation amount to the farmers in lieu of crop damage from the years 2017-18 to 2022-23. So far, a total of 48.21 farmers have benefited from this scheme. At present, under this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced relief to the farmers who are victims of natural calamities. The Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is being run by the Central Government to protect the farmers from future losses due to farming. Under the scheme, the notification of the crop insurance scheme for Kharif 2022 has been issued. With the help of this, the farmers will be able to compensate for the loss in future. In this sequence, the online application process has started in Madhya Pradesh and will continue till July 31.

Under this scheme, farmers can apply for urad, moong, jowar, groundnut, sesame, cotton, paddy, maize, millet and tur along with other Kharif crops. Under this scheme, along with the application form, it is necessary to attach a crop insurance proposal form, Aadhar card, identity card, land rights book and sowing certificate valid by the government.

According to the scheme, farmers can get the notified crops insured through a bank, a public service center, and a representative of the designated insurance company. At the same time, for the implementation of the scheme, the process of opening tenders has started in 11 clusters of the state. Let us inform you that the last date of the insurance application has been fixed as 31 July 2022. Farmers can avoid losses by getting their crops insured before the time runs out.

Under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, on September 16, about 4688 crore rupees will be added to the accounts of about 20 lakh farmers of the state. On September 16, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will send this amount to farmers’ accounts by pressing a button. This is the outstanding amount of crop insurance for the year 2019.

According to the news, the entire amount of crop insurance dues for the year 2019 will reach all 20 lakh farmers from September 16 to 18. Significantly, due to inclement weather, there is no loss to the farmers due to loss of crops, hence the farmers are insured under this scheme.
