For a few years, the practice of planting horticultural crops in agriculture has increased. The farmers have made a lot of profit by cultivating these crops. In such a situation, the Rajasthan government has taken an important decision so that more and more farmers can earn good money through horticulture.
As per the announcement of the state government, a grant will be provided to the farmers for planting orchards. Rajasthan Horticulture Development Mission has set a target of planting fruit orchards in 15 thousand hectare area in the next two years. Under which 75% subsidy will be given to 10 thousand farmers of the state to develop gardens.
Under this scheme, there is a provision to give grants to the farmers for an area of 4.0 hectares. At the same time, the minimum area limit has been fixed at 0.2 hectares for the farmers of the SC / ST category and tribal areas. Under this scheme, 10% more saplings will be provided to the beneficiary farmers than the prescribed number of plants during transplanting.
