Farmers’ luck will shine with flower farming, government will give a 70% subsidy

For the economic empowerment of farmers, the government is greatly promoting flower farming. The Bihar government has also taken a big step in this regard. Under the National Horticulture Mission Scheme, awareness about flower cultivation is spreading among the farmers in 23 districts of Bihar state. Farmers are also being provided financial assistance by giving subsidies for flower cultivation.

Let us tell you that the state government will give a subsidy of up to 70% to the farmers for cultivating flowers. The official process of online application for this has also started. Under this, beneficiary farmers will be selected on ‘first come first serve’. Among flowers, the cost of cultivating marigolds per hectare has been fixed at Rs 40 thousand. Out of this amount, farmers will get Rs 28 thousand as a grant. The cost of cultivation of gladiolus flower on one hectare of land has been fixed at around Rs 1.07 lakh; in this, farmers will get Rs 75 thousand as a grant.
