Taking an important decision for all farmers of the country, the government has increased the minimum support price of other crops including wheat. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has given this information through a tweet.
PM Modi said on this subject, ‘It is a great privilege for us to work for the welfare of farmers. In line with our priorities to work for the benefit of the donors, the Cabinet has taken another historic decision to increase the MSP. Crores of farmers will be benefited from this. While more MSP will empower the farmers, it will also help in doubling their income.
How much support price increased?
- The support price of wheat increased by Rs. 50 to Rs. 1975,
- Barley Rs 75 increased to Rs 1600,
- Gram’s Rs 225 increased to Rs 5100,
- Lentils Rs 300 to Rs 5100,
- Mustard rises by Rs 225 to Rs 4650,
- Kusumbh’s Rs 112 has been increased to Rs 5327/quintal.
