Many schemes are being run in Madhya Pradesh to educate girls so that more and more girls can become self-reliant through education. In this episode, ‘Ladli Laxmi Yojana’ is being run by the state government. Under this scheme, every year for the next five years from the birth of a girl child, an amount of Rs 6,000 is deposited in her name.

Along with this, an amount of Rs. 2 thousand is sent to the bank account of the daughter at the time of admission in the 6th class, Rs. 4 thousand at the time of admission in the 9th class and Rs. 7 thousand 500 at the time of admission in 11th class. Not only this, under the scheme, an amount of Rs 1 lakh is provided to the daughter on completion of 21 years. In this sequence, under the scheme, about 1.5 crore girl students were benefited by the Chief Minister of the state on November 1, 2022. This program was completed at Rabindra Bhawan in the capital Bhopal.

To get the benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, the family members will have to register the girl child within one year of her birth. However, keep in mind that the benefit of this scheme will not be given if the daughter gets married within 18 years. On the other hand, if the daughter has been adopted, she can also be enrolled under this scheme.
