Government will pay rent for installing solar pump in the field

Renewable energy is being promoted to meet the increasing consumption of electricity in the agriculture sector. Under this, the Kusum scheme is being run by the central government in the country. Through this, the rent of the land will be given by the government for the installation of solar pump. To make the benefits of this scheme reach the farmers, three components have been included in it.

These components are as follows:-

  • Farmers can set up a solar plant on their land and sell the electricity obtained from it to the government.

  • You can install solar pumps in your field to irrigate crops.

  • Farmer brothers can also get solar pumps installed to irrigate crops and sell electricity.

The benefits of all the three components of this scheme are being given to the farmers of Rajasthan. The state government has given instructions to install 1 lakh solar pumps under the scheme. A portal will be started soon to take the process of this scheme forward. Through which interested farmers can get their land registered. With its help, farmers can lease their land for up to 25 years to set up GSS.

Apart from farmer brothers, developers can also take advantage of this scheme. Under the scheme, an annual lease rent of Rs.80 thousand per hectare will be given on land worth Rs.8 lakh. On the other hand, if the land is more than 20 lakh rupees, the lease rent will be given at the rate of 1 lakh 60 thousand per hectare. Not only this, the lease rent should be increased by 5% every two years.
