Know how and why it is necessary to staking plants in tomato crop
  • In tomato cultivation, the farmer who has tied the plants gets a lot of benefits. If the plants are not supported or tied, the plants spread on the ground, due to which the outbreak of pests and diseases increases on the plants, as well as adversely affects the yield and the quality of production also declines.

  • In tomato cultivation, staking requires bamboo poles, iron-thin wire and twine for fastening the plants.

  • Ten-foot-high bamboo poles are erected at a distance of ten feet along the ridge. On these poles, an iron wire is tied at a height of every two feet.  After that, the plant is tied with wire, with the help of twine, which makes these plants grow upwards. The height of this plant goes up to eight feet.

  • This not only makes the plant stronger, but it also makes the fruit better. The fruit is also protected from rotting.

  • At the time of staking of plants in tomato cultivation, take special care that the plants should not be broken.
