The problem of leaf-eating caterpillars in Kharif onion crop and its control measures

About 50 percent loss has been observed in the crop from leaf-eating caterpillars (Spodoptera), the young larvae, after hatching from eggs, scrape the surface and eat from the outside.   • For biological control, take spray of bave curb (Bavaria bassiana 5% WP) @ 500 gm/acre @ 150 -200 liters of water.

Nutrient Management – For good growth and development as well as increase Bulb size in onion crop, Use Urea @ 30 kg + Agromin (Zinc 5% + Iron 2% + Manganese 1% + Boron 1% + Copper = 0.5%) @ 5 kg + coromandel Zinc Sulphate @ 5 kg per acre.
