Schemes are run by the government in the field of agriculture, but in order to promote tree plantation, the government is also bringing many new schemes in this area. One of these is a special scheme started by the Forest Department.
In fact, the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department of Bihar State has started a scheme called ‘Jal Jeevan Hariyali Yojana’. Under this scheme, farmers get both fruit and timber plants on a fixed deposit of just Rs.10. The thing to note here is that if these plants survive for three years, then the owner of the plant will also be given a subsidy of Rs 70 per plant.
