Government is giving bumper subsidies on turmeric and ginger cultivation

Integrated Horticulture Development Scheme

The Central and State Governments are running many beneficial schemes. With the help of this, it becomes easier for the farmer to do farming. In this series, the Bihar government is providing help to the farmers of its state under the Integrated Horticulture Development Scheme. Under this scheme, subsidies are being given to the farmers for planting turmeric, ginger and Jimikand crops.

According to the Horticulture Directorate of Bihar Government, farmers of 12 districts of the state can fill out applications under this scheme. Araria, Bhojpur, Buxar, Gopalganj, Katihar, Madhepura, Madhubani, Munger, Purnia, Siwan, Supaul and Saran districts are included in this scheme. The process of applying online for the scheme has started from 13 February 2024. By joining the scheme, you will be given a subsidy of 40% to 50% for cultivating turmeric, ginger and Jimikand.
