Honey hub is being built in Madhya Pradesh

There are plans to make a honey production hub at Morena in Madhya Pradesh. This scheme is to be started by NAFED in Deori village of Morena district under National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) in collaboration with National Bee Board (NBB).

Here a laboratory will be constructed for processing and quality testing of honey and other beekeeping products, for which land worship was done. This Bhumi Pujan was performed by the Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar.

During this, the Union Minister Shri Tomar said that “Morena of Madhya Pradesh is the leader in honey production. There are about 6 thousand beekeepers and 1 lakh bee boxes, which produce 3 thousand tonnes of honey. The Central Government through NAFED has created an FPO here.” Agriculture Minister Shri Tomar congratulated and congratulated NAFED for taking the responsibility of taking forward the sweet revolution.
