With the aim of reducing these challenges a bit, the Bihar government is providing subsidy of up to 50% on farming with polyhouse and shade net through “High-Tech Horticulture Scheme”.
Under this scheme, the farmers of the state will get subsidy of up to 50% on the unit cost of Rs 935 per square meter for setting up polyhouse and Rs 710 per square meter for shade net.
Let us tell you that by farming in polyhouse, the crop does not face any problem from seasonal disasters like strong sunlight, harsh cold and strong winds and the crop remains safe. Apart from this, the yield is also good and the farmer earns more profit.
Farming with shade net also helps in protecting the plants from the extreme heat and ultraviolet rays of the sun. Due to this, moisture remains in the soil, due to which the plants grow rapidly.
