To promote the use of drones in agriculture, the scheme ‘Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization’ has been released by the Union Ministry of Agriculture. For this, the Ministry has issued guidelines to ICAR Institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and State Agricultural Universities. Under this, a subsidy of 50% or a maximum of Rs 5 lakh per equipment cost will be given to SC, ST, small-marginal and women farmers across the country on drone purchase and 40 per cent or a maximum Rs 4 lakh subsidy will be given to other farmers so that every The farmers of the section can take advantage of this technology.
Simultaneously, the scope of the Customer Hiring Center is also being expanded to make the availability of agricultural equipment more easily. Not only this, with the help of the leading Agricultural Research and Agricultural Training Institute, farmers across the country will be given training on spraying with drones. With the help of this, more farmers will be able to make farming easier by using agricultural drones as soon as possible.
