Food processing industries apply for heavy government subsidy of 50%

The government is running a grant, incentive scheme for those wishing to start a food processing industry. Food processing industry manufacturers wishing to receive incentives / grants can apply in this scheme. Under this, the guideline officer has been registered on the website www.mofpi.nic.in.

According to the Union Minister of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries, Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar, “The Government of India has approved the Production Linked Incentive Scheme for food processing industries during the years 2021-22 to 2026-27 with a budget of Rs. 10,900 crore. The ministry has issued detailed guidelines. “

Explain that the Ministry of Food Processing Industries is inviting applications under this scheme from three categories of applicants for getting sales based incentives and grants for starting branding and marketing activities abroad.

The scheme will provide subsidy at the rate of 50% of the total expenditure on branding and marketing abroad and the minimum expenditure for this will be Rs 5 crore in a period of 5 years. The last date to apply for this scheme is 17 June 2021 till 5 pm.
