Subsidy of 3 lakh 90 thousand rupees, will get benefit on rearing indigenous cow

The government is encouraging the farmers to rear the indigenous cow. Interest is also being seen among the farmers in rearing indigenous cows. The central and state governments are also running several schemes to increase the rearing of indigenous cows. In this episode, the Bihar government has also started “Desi Gopalan Protsahan Yojana 2023-24”.

With the help of this scheme, farmers and livestock farmers of Bihar can get subsidy ranging from 40 to 75%. The main objective of the Bihar government behind this scheme is to promote milk production and indigenous breed of cows in the state.

Explain that under this scheme, subsidy can be taken on maximum 20 indigenous cows. It has been decided to give 75% subsidy to OBC/SC/ST farmers and 40% subsidy to farmers of all other categories under this. In this scheme, landless, small, marginal and below poverty line farmers of all categories of the state can apply.

Under the scheme, interested farmers belonging to OBC/SC/ST category who start dairy business with two indigenous cows will get Rs 1 lakh 81 thousand 500 while farmers belonging to other categories will become beneficiaries of a subsidy of Rs 1 lakh 21 thousand. If starting a dairy farm with four indigenous cows, the farmers belonging to extremely backward class/SC/ST category will get a subsidy of Rs. To take advantage of the scheme, visit the official website dairy.bihar.gov.in. The last date of application has been kept on September 1.
