Madhya Pradesh government has taken a special step to stop this fraud from happening in agriculture. The state government has prepared such a scheme, through which the needy farmers will get direct benefits. Under this, it has been made mandatory for the farmers of the state to register the Aadhar card number in the crop insurance.

At the same time, as per the instructions of the government, now the correct and complete information about the loan and compensation related to agriculture will be recorded online only. Let us inform you that this scheme is being started under Land Digitization. Its purpose is to easily prevent irregularities in agriculture loans and compensation.

Last date for registration of crop insurance scheme came, register soon and avail benefits

FasaDue to natural disasters like unseasonal rains, hail, drought, crops of farmers is often affected. The Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme protects farmers from these losses. The final date of the crop insurance scheme for this year has arrived. For Kharif crops, the farmers who want to avail of this benefit should insure their crops by 31 July 2020.

Indebted farmers who do not want to avail of crop insurance facility, can give written notice of it in their bank branch 7 days in advance. Apart from this, non-debtor farmers can also insure their crops. For this, these farmers will have to use CSC, bank, agent, or insurance portal.

How to apply?

You can apply for this through the bank and also online. To apply online, go to the link https://pmfby.gov.in/ and fill the form. For this application, a photo and identification card such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID card, or Aadhaar card is required. Apart from this, a document is also required for address proof, for which the farmer has to show the documents related to farming and the Khasra number. For the truth of the crop that has been sown, a letter of pradhan, patwari, or sarpanch has to be given. A cancellation check has to be given so that the claim amount comes directly into the account.

Now all farmers in MP will have Crop Insurance, Government will take a decision soon

The government of Madhya Pradesh has taken several steps for the interest of farmers in the last few days. In the same sequence, the government has also discussed that all the farmers of the state should be insured under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme. The government can decide on this soon.

Talking to the media on this subject, Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said that “every farmer in the state will get crop insurance under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme, the state government is going to take this decision soon.”

Significantly, there are about 65 lakh farmers in Madhya Pradesh and among them, 36 lakh farmers insure their crops. The premium for crop insurance is 12%, in which the farmer pays around 2% and the state and central government combine the remaining amount. In the coming time, due to more and more farmers joining this scheme, the premium is likely to decrease further.
