A village in the era of inflation where milk and fruits are available for free

In today’s time, where people have to buy water for drinking, there is a village in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh where milk and fruits are given to people for free. You will be surprised to hear that even in this period of inflation, milk and fruits are not sold in Chudia village of Betul district.

No one ever trades milk and fruits in this village with a population of 3 thousand. 40% of tribals live in this village, as well as 40% of the residents here are Gwale. Despite this, there is no milk trade here. There is a belief here that if anyone tries to trade in milk and fruits, he is doomed.

There is a legend related to this belief in this village, according to which once there used to be a Chindhya Baba in Chindhiya village. He had taught people for the benefit of the village. Baba said that adulterating or selling milk is a sin. Baba had said this so that every section of the family living in the village can use it and the village remains healthy. Since then the people of the village are still following this tradition.
