Manure is used on a large scale in the agriculture sector. It is sold in the Indian market under various names like Urea, Di-ammonium Phosphate and NPK. Recently, the Government of India has taken an important step to give brand value to the name of fertilizer. As per the announcement, only one fertilizer scheme will be implemented across the country.
Under this scheme, all types of fertilizers sold in the country will be sold under the brand name ‘Bharat’ from now on. After which these names of fertilizers will be known as Bharat Urea, Bharat Di-ammonium Phosphate and Bharat NPK etc. At the same time, the scheme of the government will be applicable to the products of both the government company and the private company.
This scheme will be implemented across the country on 2 October 2022 i.e. the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Let us tell you that the objective of this scheme of the government is to bring the fertilizer brands in the country in a common sense. Under this, taking forward the process of planning, the Center has asked all fertilizer companies to sell their products under the brand name Bharat.
