Fish farming business is being promoted through new technologies for more and more farmers to adopt fish farming business. One of these is Biofloc technology, for the establishment of which subsidy is being given by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

What is Biofloc technology?

Under this, fish are put in large-sized tanks of 10 to 15 thousand liters. In which proper arrangement of oxygen is made for the fish along with removing the dirty water. Explain that the fish excrete 75% of what they eat in the form of feces. For this, a special bacteria called Biofloc is put into the tanks, which converts this feces into protein. Fishes eat this protein in their diet. This technique not only saves one-third of the diet but also keeps the water clean.

The cost of installing a Biofloc system ranges from 70 thousand to 80 thousand rupees. Tank shed, electricity, water, and labor expenses are also included. 60% of the cost is being given by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. According to the scheme, there is a provision of 60% subsidy for women and 40% subsidy for men.
