In addition to accidental death to the insured person under this scheme, disability will also be covered. If the insured falls in the category of permanent disability, then they will get 75 thousand rupees. On the death of the insured, the nominee will get Rs. 30 thousand and his 2 children will also be given a scholarship facility of Rs. 100-100. To avail of this scheme, the life of the insured must be between 18 and 59 years.
The annual premium under this scheme is 200 rupees. Of this, the government will add 100 rupees. If the insured is from a rural area and is included in 48 business groups doing business of beedi workers, carpenters, fisheries, handicrafts etc., then they do not have to pay 100 rupees.
