Madhya Pradesh farmers will get five thousand crores for crop damage done last year

Farmers of Madhya Pradesh can get more than five thousand crore rupees as insurance for Kharif crops destroyed due to excessive rains last year. For this, assessment of crop damage is being done. After assessment, these will be sent to the beam companies.

Let us inform you that last year more than 44 lakh farmers had insured Kharif crops in the state. Last year, soybean suffered the most. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had given instructions to provide compensation to the farmers according to the crop insurance and revenue circular after conducting a survey from the Agriculture and Revenue Department to compensate for the crop damage. Now this compensation is likely to be given to the farmers soon.

The continuous dry winds from the western direction are not allowing the monsoon to progress further. Rain will continue in eastern and southern districts of Madhya Pradesh but western districts will remain dry for few days. Punjab, Haryana and West Rajasthan including Delhi may have to wait for monsoon till July. Good rains will continue over East India and North East India. Monsoon is likely to remain subdued over South India as well.
