Leaf miner problem and control measures in tomato crop

Leaf miner outbreaks are mostly observed during the hot and dry season. Symptoms of its damage first appear on the leaves. The female moth lays eggs in the cells inside the leaves, from which the larvae hatch and make tunnels by feeding on the green matter inside the leaves. Due to which white streaks appear on the leaves.

Control Measures

  • For biological control, spray Brigade B @ 1 kg + silicomaxx  @ 50 ml per acre, @ 150 to 200 liters of water.

  • To control this pest, spray Benevia @ 360 ml + silicomaxx  @ 50 ml per acre, @ 150 to 200 liters of water.

Agriculture loan up to ₹5 lakh will be available in less time and at reasonable rates

Most of the farmers do not have enough money for farming. In such a situation, they take the help of a loan for financial help. However, sometimes farmers face a lot of trouble due to the non-availability of loans on time. A special step has been taken by the government to give relief to the farmers. Under this, loans will be made available to farmers within 15 days through digital medium.

Under this initiative, the Reserve Bank of India has released a pilot project in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. With the help of this, agricultural loan up to Rs 3 lakh will be made available to needy farmers through Kisan Credit Card in a short time and at reasonable rates. According to the guidelines of RBI, this scheme will be released across the country as soon as the pilot project 2022 is successful.

Farmers have to make rounds of the bank with the documents for the KCC loan. At the same time, after the digitization of KCC loans, this problem of farmers will also end. The Kisan Credit Card is for the convenience of the farmers. The rules of which have been amended from time to time. Recently KCC has also been linked with schemes like PM Kisan and Crop Insurance so that farmers can easily get the benefits from government schemes.

Farmers will no longer suffer during weighing

Procurement of moong is going on in Madhya Pradesh at the minimum support price. Meanwhile, a special step has been taken in the interest of farmers. Giving importance to the farmers to get the full benefit of their produce, the state government has ordered for weighing with flat weighing forks at the procurement centers. The government is taking full care that there should not be any problem in the arrangements during the purchase.

Farmers are constantly getting SMS for procurement, so that in that sequence the farmer can reach the centers with his produce. The purpose of this move of the government is to save the farmers from middlemen, who cause economic loss to them by buying their crops at cheap prices. Let us inform that the farmers have got a lot of relief from the procurement of summer moong. This year, moong is being procured by the government at the rate of Rs 7275 per quintal.
