  • Similar to soil treatment, seed treatment is also very important before sowing.
  • Treating seeds ensures controlled seed-borne diseases and quality germination. Seed treatment is done by two methods.
  • Chemical treatment: – Before sowing, treat okra seeds with CARBENDAZIM 12% + MANCOZEB 63% WS @ 3 ml / kg seed 
  • For insect control or IMIDACLOPRID 48% FS @  4 ml / kg seed or THIAMETHOXAM 30% FS@ 4 ml / kg seed
  • Biological treatment: -TRICHODERMA VIRIDE @ 5 gram / kg + PSB @ 2 gram / or PSEUDOMONAS FLUORESCENS @ 5 gram / kg seeds.
  • The seeds should always be planted after full treatment and at the time of sowing, there should be enough moisture in the soil.

Mandi Bhav: What is the price of onion, tomato and other vegetables in different mandis of MP?

Onion price is running at Rs 850 per quintal at Gautampura Mandi in Indore and the tomato price is Rs 925 per quintal at Sendhwa Mandi in Barwani district. The price of cabbage, cauliflower, brinjal, ladyfinger, and the gourd is being sold at Rs 750, 950, 825, 925, 600 per quintal respectively in Sendhwa Mandi.

Talking about the Bhind Mandi in Gwalior, the price of wheat and mustard is running at Rs 1560, 4770 per quintal respectively. Apart from this, the price of Mill quality wheat in the Khaniadhana Mandi of Gwalior is running at Rs 1925 per quintal and the price of moong in Babai Mandi in Bhopal is Rs 4000 per quintal.
