The winter season has knocked in the mountainous areas and the effect of this is now being seen gradually in the plains. Due to this, changes in weather patterns have been observed in many places. Several regions of Madhya Pradesh have been witnessing light rain for the last two-three days and the temperature has also dropped.
Though the rains will stop in the next few days, the temperature is expected to fall further. Minimum temperature is expected to decrease in Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain and thunder showers are expected to fall in Konkan Goa and some areas of central Maharashtra. Whereas, light to moderate rains may occur over North Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Arunachal Pradesh.

ShareA meeting of sugar mill owners and farmers of the area was held under the chairmanship of collector Mr. Saurabh Kumar Suman of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. During this meeting important decisions were taken from the suggestions of all the parties. In the meeting, it was decided that sugar mill owners would work for sugarcane procurement from farmers in Chhindwara at the rate of Rs 285 / quintal.
It was also decided in the meeting that after the increase in sugarcane rate in nearby Narsinghpur district, the rates will be increased in Chhindwara accordingly. Apart from this, it was also decided that the sugarcane mill in the district would have to purchase sugarcane giving priority to the farmers of Chhindwara district, after which it was agreed to purchase sugarcane of other district farmers. At the same time, sugar mill owners will be mandated to pay the purchase to farmers within one month of the purchase of sugarcane.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent an amount of Rs 100 crore under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana to the accounts of 5 lakh farmers with a single click during a meeting in Nasrullaganj of Sehore district.
Addressing this gathering, the Chief Minister said a lot about the development of the agricultural sector. In the midst of the current turmoil over the MSP, he assured the farmers that “things that close the mandis and support price system are misleading and untrue.”
