Government launches Govardhan integrated portal, cattle owners will be benefited

Union Water Power Ministry has launched an integrated portal under the Govardhan Yojana launched in the year 2018. The objective of this scheme is to increase the income of cattle rearers by better management of cattle dung and other bio-wastes.

Under the second phase of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Govardhan Yojana is being adopted as the primary program. Under this, biogas and organic manure is also being made from cattle dung and other bio-wastes.

  • Leaf Miner insects are very small. They burrow inside the leaves and make tunnels.
  • These tunnels look like white stripe ridges on the watermelon leaves.
  • The adult moth is light yellow in color and the baby moth is very small and footless . This moth makes a tunnel in the leaves and in this tunnel the pupa is formed.
  • Insect infestation occurs on the leaves. A spiral tunnel is formed on the affected leaf. Photosynthesis of plants is affected . Hence, the leaves fall.
  • For the control of this insects use , Abamectin 1.9% EC @ 150 ml/acre or Chlorantraniliprole 8.8 + Thiamethoxam 17.5% SC @ 200 ml/acre or Cyantraniliprole 10.26% OD @ 300 ml/acre

The main goal of this scheme was to better conserve potatoes, onions and tomatoes as well as increase their supply. Also, the objective of this scheme was that the value of tomato, potato and onion crops should be stable and the farmers cultivating it should also get its benefits.

However, in the coming days, 22 crops will be added to this scheme, which will greatly benefit the farmers. These 22 crops mainly include vegetables and fruits.

Online portal E-Nam will connect 1000 new mandis

Farmers often face a lot of problems in selling their produce. Sometimes they do not get the right price and sometimes they do not get buyers. The government is taking several steps to overcome this problem. In the same sequence, in the budget speech for the financial year 2021-22, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced to link 1000 new mandis with the E-Nam scheme.

Let us tell you that in the year 2016, the online portal E-Naam was started. Its full name is e-National Agriculture Market. Through this, farmers get the facility of online trading to sell their produce. It is said that about 1.68 crore farmers have already been registered on this platform.

  • In onion crops, in 40-50 days the crop has to be protected from insects and fungal diseases, as well as nutritional requirements have to be fulfilled.
  • Therefore in this stage of onion crop it is necessary to manage the crop in three different forms.
  • To protect against fungal diseases: – Use Tebuconazole 10% + Sulfur 65% WG @ 500 gram/acre Metalaxyl 4% + Mancozeb 64% WP @ 600 gram/acre
  • Use Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gram/acre as a biological treatment
  • To protect against insects : – Spray of Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG @ 40 gram/acre or Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC @ 80 ml/acre
  • Use Beauveria Bassiana @ 250 gram/acre as a biological treatment.
  • Nutrition Management: – In this stage of onion nutrition management is done as soil treatment, for this use calcium nitrate @ 10 kg/acre + potash @ 20 kg/acre.
  • While spraying  onion crops, one thing should be kept in mind that for every product to be absorbed or used by the leaves well, use 5 ml / pump sticker per pump at every spray time.
