Actually, the state government has come up with a special scheme with the aim of increasing the production of wheat and increasing the income of the farmers. For which the government is paying full attention to the process of getting a GI tag on Sharbati wheat so that wheat farmers can get the right price for their production.

inform that in the year 2020-21, a maximum of 129 lakh 42 thousand metric tonnes of wheat was sold in Madhya Pradesh. Although the procurement of 128 lakh 15 thousand metric tonnes of wheat was recorded during 2021-22, the government has taken this special step only to increase this production.

Under this, more than 4500 procurement centers have been set up by the state government, through which direct purchase of wheat can be done from the farmers. These efforts will help the farmers and the state government manage the increased wheat production.

Symptoms – Both nymphs and adults of this insect suck the sap from the leaves in the initial stage, due to which white spots are formed on the leaves and gradually wither and dry up. When the crop is in ripening stage, this insect gathers on the pods and sucks the sap from the pods and the adults of this insect secrete a sticky substance which spoils the pod.

Control measures

To control this pest, According to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Spray Rogor (Dimethoate 30 EC) @ 250 ml or Tusk (Malathion 50.00% EC) @ 400 ml + SilicoMaxx Gold @ 50 ml + Novamaxx @ 180 – 200 ml per acre, @ 150 to 200 liters of water.
