Identification and prevention measures of Anthracnose spot in Green gram crop

  • The plant scorches immediately after seed germination due to infection.

  • Leaves and pods have bright red orange spots with a round, dark, black center.

  • The pathogen survives on seed and plant residues

  • The disease spreads through the air-borne spores in the area.

  • Remove the residue of the affected plant and destroy it.

  • Keeping the fields clean and adopting a proper crop cycle should prevent the spread of disease.

  • Treat seeds with CARBENDAZIM 12% + MANCOZEB 63%  WP  @ 2.5 grams per kg of seeds.

  • To prevent this disease, MANCOZEB 75 % WP @ 500 gram / acre or CHLOROTHALONIL 75% WP @ 300 gram / acre or HEXACONAZOLE 5% SC @ 300 ml/ acre.

When the fruit is dry, the market price is high. This variety is 100% resistant to leaf curl virus.

  • Huveg Sania 03: The plant of this variety is erect and the maturity of the First fruit is in 50-55 days. The mature fruit is red and the color of immature fruit is yellowish green. The length of the fruit is 15-17 centimeters. And the thickness of the fruit is 0.3 MM. The pungency of this variety is very high. This variety is suitable for drying. It is a hybrid variety with good yield.
