  • Soil treatment before sowing is very important in soybean crops. Soil treatment is done twice in soybean crops. First treatment is done before or after the first rain, second treatment is done before sowing.

  • For good germination of seeds, the soil must be Friable,After the harvesting of the last crop, one plowing should be done with a common plow and 2-3 plowing with the help of a harrow.

  • Biological control of white grub can be easily done by mixing 50 kg of cow dung with 1 kg/acre of Metarhizium culture.

  •  For pre-sowing soil treatment, the farmer can use the soybean samriddhi kit. This kit contains the following product which helps in supplementing the nutrients to the crop.

  • This Kit contains consortia of PK bacteria that supply potash and phosphorus, Trichoderma viride, It protects the crop from diseases such as root rot and stem rot.   • Seed treatment in soybean crops can be done both by biological and chemical  methods.

  • Soybean is treated with both fungicides and insecticides.

  • To treat seed with  fungus ,Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 2.5 gram/kg seed or Carboxin 17.5% + Thyram 17.5% @ 2.5 ml/kg seeds or Trichoderma viride @ 5-10 gram/kg seeds

  • To treat seed with  insecticides , Thiamethoxam30% FS @ 4 ml/kg of seed or Imidacloprid 48% FS @ 4-5 ml/kg of seed.

  • To increase nitrogen fixation in soybean crops, treat with  Rhizobium @ 5 gm/kg of seeds.

  • By treating seeds with fungicides, soybean crops are protected from  wilt, root rot disease.

  • seed germinates in a proper manner, germination percentage increases.

  • The initial development of the soybean crop is uniform.

  • Seed treatment with Rhizobium increases nodules in the roots of soybean crops and fixes more nitrogen.

  • By treating seed with insecticides, the soybean crop is protected from soil insects such as white grubs, ants, termite etc.

  • Use Trichoderma viride @ 500 gram /acre or Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gram /acre as a biological treatment.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said on this subject that “there is a plan to form 10 thousand Farmer Producer Organizations by spending 6 thousand 856 crores, which is planned to provide interest subvention including loan of 2 crores”.
