It is raining heavily in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh and there is a possibility of heavy rain to continue in the coming days as well. At present, the monsoon is active in the Gangetic plains. The low-pressure area over the North Bay of Bengal will give torrential rains over East India. There is a possibility of heavy rain in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and West Himalaya.

  • For good production of onion, it is very necessary to do crop management (nutrition and spray management) in 15 days after transplanting.

  • With proper nutrient management, the nutrients are properly utilized by the onion plants and the roots of the onion crop are well spread in the soil. Along with this, the immunity against diseases increases.

  • Apply Urea @ 30 kg/acre + Sulfur 90% @ 10 kg/ acre in 10 to 15 days after transplanting.

  • Urea is a source of nitrogen, sulfur plays a very important role in the prevention of fungal diseases, as well as in the supply of nutrients.

  • To control the pest, spray Fipronil 5% SC @ 400 ml/acre.

  • For good growth and spread of onion roots in the soil, spray Humic Acid @ 100 gm/acre.

  • For control of fungal diseases, spray Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 300 gm/acre or Thiophanate Methyl 70% @ 300 gm/acre.

Seed Minikit scheme

Seed Minikit scheme has been started by the state government for the farmers of Rajasthan. Lakhs of farmers of the state will get benefit from this scheme. Under this scheme, seeds will be made available to the farmers at a huge subsidy of 90%. In fact, this scheme has been started with the aim of providing relief to the farmers affected by the problems arising due to Corona.

The state government has made complete preparations for the implementation of this scheme. Under this scheme, priority will be given to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, small and marginal and poor farmers. Under this scheme, a seed minikit is given to a woman. Even if the land belongs to the woman’s husband/father/father-in-law, this seed kit will be available only in the name of the woman.

Along with promoting modern agriculture, Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana is being run across the country with the aim of increasing the income of farmers. Under this scheme, farmers are connected with modern agriculture and incentives are also given.

In this sequence, on behalf of the Horticulture and Food Processing Department of the state of Madhya Pradesh, applications have been sought from the farmers of some selected districts of the state for the purpose of this scheme. Farmers can avail the benefits of the scheme through online applications.

Subsidy on Poly House: Under this, applications have been invited from farmers of the Katni and Shivpuri districts of Madhya Pradesh. Under this, the beneficiary farmers can be of all categories and they will be given a 50% subsidy.

Subsidy on Shed net House: Under this, applications have been invited from farmers of Anuppur, Shahdol, Balaghat, Bhind and Shivpuri districts of Madhya Pradesh. Under this, the beneficiary farmers can be of all categories and they will be given a 50% subsidy.

Subsidy for vermicompost HDPE beds and others for organic farming: Under this, applications have been sought from 12 districts of Madhya Pradesh. These districts include Anuppur, Umaria, Katni, Balaghat, Seoni, Shahdol, Narsinghpur, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Shivpuri and Niwari. The beneficiary farmers in this scheme can be of all categories. Under this scheme, a 50% subsidy will be given for setting up vermicompost units.
