  • Rabi paddy nursery is running in other states including Chhattisgarh.

  • It is very important for the paddy farmers to take special care of the nursery in case of a fall in temperature and the possibility of frost.

  • Also, in this stage, there is a high possibility of an outbreak of stem borer, sucking insects and root rot disease in the crop. For its management, spray Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 30 gm + Fipronil 5% SC @ 30 gm per pump.

  • It takes 10-15 days more in Rabi paddy nursery as compared to Kharif paddy and the development of roots of paddy is also less visible, for this humic acid can be used at the rate of 10 gm per pump mixed with the above sprays.
