Temperatures have started rising again in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Many schemes are being run at the central and state level for the economically weak people in the country. One of these is the ‘e-shram card’ scheme. It has been specially implemented for the people working in the unorganized sectors. These include labourers working on construction sites, people working in homes, street vendors, migrant workers along with all other workers.

E-shram card facility
Under this scheme, a monthly instalment of 500 to 1000 rupees is given to the beneficiary. With the help of the card, the beneficiary gets insurance of 2 lakhs. At the same time, in case of the death of a worker in an accident, the government gives Rs 2 lakh to the victim’s family and Rs 1 lakh in case of disability. Apart from this, the beneficiary also gets the benefit of many other government schemes.

Information about this scheme can be obtained on the e-shram portal. According to this, any person working in the unorganized sector, whose age is between 16 and 59 years, can get his e-shram card made. If you also come under this eligibility, then register soon and take advantage of this scheme.

  • The germs of diseases like uprooting, root rot, etc and nematodes which occur in crops, are also destroyed.

  • Due to the formation of lumps in the soil of the field, the capacity of absorbing rainwater increases. Due to this, the moisture remains in the soil for a longer time.

  • Deep ploughing can get rid of tough weeds.

  • Due to summer ploughing, the manure of cow dung and other organic matter available in the field gets mixed well in the land, due to which the nutrients become available to the crops soon.

  • Due to summer ploughing, there is a huge reduction in land erosion by water.

  • In diseases, there may be problems like fall of flowers, rotting and wilting of roots, stunted growth of plants, etc.

  • To avoid all these problems, the farmers should take precautions.

  • For sowing use disease resistant varieties.

  • Cultivation of intercropping crops is effective in disease management, For example, cowpea can be cultivated for the control of yellow vein mosaic virus disease in okra. To control nematodes in tomatoes, the marigold crop can be taken together.

  • For the management of fungal diseases, seeds must be treated with Trichoderma virdi, Trichoderma harzianum.

  • Use of pseudomonas for bacterial diseases.

  • For diseases, chemicals like carbendazim, mancozeb, propiconazole etc. can be used.

  • For viral diseases, pick up the diseased plants and burn them.

  • Spray recommended insecticides for the control of sucking pests.

From today the weather will start clearing in North India and the heat will start increasing gradually. Rain activities will continue over South India and Northeast India including Maharashtra, it will also rain over the mountains.
