Heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Gujarat now. Heavy rain is also expected in some parts of South Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. Heavy rain is also possible in the southern districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar including Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. The southern districts of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana will remain almost dry and hot. Monsoon is also expected to remain weak in South India.

The depression formed around Chhattisgarh will move in the west direction and will give heavily to heavy rains over central India. After this, another Low-Pressure Area will develop over the Bay of Bengal which will move westwards through Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand. Once again, torrential rains are possible over Central India. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal will not be able to emerge from the dry weather for the next few days.

On the first day of August, 15% less rainfall has been recorded all over India. During the next 2 days, rain activities will increase over Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and East Rajasthan. There will be heavy rains in South India including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Rain will increase again in Mumbai from August 6, while rain is possible in Gujarat and West Rajasthan on August 6 and 7.

At present, the whole of India has received 8% more rainfall than usual. Now the line of monsoon will remain in the north direction, due to which there will be good rains in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal including the mountains. Rain will start in Delhi on August 3 and 4 Very heavy rain is likely over Kerala and Karnataka.
