Now the weather in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh will become dry. Rain will stop but there may be rain in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and North-Eastern states even today. Rain and snowfall activities will reduce in the mountains but from February 25, a new Western Disturbance may start snowfall again.

Prevention of Disease: To control it, as soon as the symptoms of the disease appear drench with Dhanucop (Copper oxychloride 50% WP) @ 500 gm per acre in 200 litres of water.

The caterpillar of the fruit borer is the most harmful. In the initial stage, this caterpillar eats the leaves, and later damages the fruits by piercing the fruit, the holes made by the caterpillar are circular. One caterpillar of this pest can damage 2-8 fruits, and the quality and yield of the crop also reduce.

Control: For monitoring and management of the pod borer, apply Helico-O-Lure @ 10 funnel traps per acre in the field. If infestation is observed, spray Cosko (Chlorantraniliprole 18.50% SC) @ 60 ml per acre or Lamanova (Lambda Cyhalothrin 04.90 % CS) @ 120 ml per acre with 150-200 litres of water.

Get boring done without any expense, know what is the government’s plan?

If crops are irrigated at the right time and in the right quantity, many crop problems automatically disappear. That is why the government also helps the farmers in the irrigation process through beneficial schemes. In this series, the Uttar Pradesh government is providing the facility of free boring to the farmers of its state.

Actually, farmers will be given the benefit of 100% subsidy for getting boring done. This means that it will be absolutely free for the farmers. The government will bear its entire expense. Along with this, arrangements for loans and subsidies for pump sets will also be made to the farmers.

Let us tell you that under this scheme, maximum subsidy of Rs. 15000 will be given at the rate of Rs. 328/meter for boring with depth of 70 meters, whereas for boring with depth of up to 100 meters, maximum subsidy of Rs. 35000 will be given at the rate of Rs. 597/meter. Subsidy will be given. Here it must be kept in mind that in this scheme, small farmers belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be given priority.
