Causes and prevention measures to fall flowers and fruits in the cotton crop

Falling of flower buds in cotton leads to a sharp drop in yield. The reason for this is as follows –

  • Lack of pollination

Pollination may fail due to various mechanisms, and pollination may fail due to lack of pollinator, or adverse environment.

  • Nutritional deficiencies

Many times the plant does not get nutrients in the right amount, due to which flowers and fruits are not able to develop fully and fall.It is very important for the plant to get sulphur , boron, calcium, magnesium etc.

  • Lack of water / moisture :

Due to lack of sufficient water, plants are unable to absorb nutrients from the soil through their roots, Due to which there is a lack of many types of elements necessary for the growth of flowers, and it starts falling.

  • pests and diseases

Flowers start falling due to the attack of various types of insects and microorganisms in plants.

Measures to prevent fruit and flower drop

    • Nutrient Spraying: Nutrients should be sprayed from time to time in the plants. Major and minor eg – boron, calcium, magnesium etc.

    • Irrigation: According to the need, irrigation should be done in the crops at a fixed interval so that sufficient amount of moisture is maintained, keep in mind that excessive irrigation can also be harmful.

    • Weeding: Weeding and other intercultural work should be done from time to time in the cotton crop ,  so that the field remains free from weeds. It is necessary to use well-decomposed manure or vermicompost from time to time.

    • Pest control: Insects and disease cause damage in large quantities in crops, they should be treated from time to time in consultation with agricultural experts.

    • Maintaining the balance of hormones: In a normal crop, more damage is also caused due to hormonal imbalance. So maintain the balance of hormones. ex . Spraying of  Nova maxx (GIBBERELLIC ACID 0.001%) @ 300 ml per acre, @ 150 to 200 liter of water .

  • Use of pollinator

For the pollination of these crops, it is necessary to have bees or other insects, not to do any kind of spraying or other agricultural work in the field during the presence of these insects. Due to this, the work of pollination is done easily and on time.

Cultivation of these 5 trees will earn lakhs

The central and state governments are running many schemes with the aim of increasing the income of the farmers. With the help of which farmers are benefiting a lot. However, the farmers themselves should also focus on increasing their income. For this, it is necessary to select crops with high demand in the market for cultivation, so that more profit can be earned at less cost. Through today’s article, you will know about 5 such trees, which after planting once, you can earn lakhs of rupees sitting at home for years.

Sandalwood tree

The demand of sandalwood remains in the market all the time. Its cost of one kg of wood is around 27 thousand rupees. If seen according to this, farmers can earn big money by planting trees.

Teak trees

Teak wood is also sold very expensive. Crores of rupees can be earned by cultivating teak on one acre of land. Let us tell you that the price of a 12-year-old teak tree in the market is 25 to 27 thousand rupees.

Gamhar tree

After teak, the wood of Gamhar tree is considered good. Sandy loam soil is good for its cultivation. About 500 plants can be planted in one acre of land. Which costs about 40 to 50 thousand rupees to install. However, once the saplings are planted, bumper earnings can be made from them for years.

Eucalyptus tree

Eucalyptus is also known as a white tree. This wood is also in great demand in the markets. Talking about its market price, the price of eucalyptus is Rs.6 per kg. From its cultivation, farmers can earn lakhs of rupees in 4 to 5 years.

Mahogany tree

The special thing about mahogany wood is that water does not have much effect on it. In this way, its wood is more durable. Apart from this, medicinal properties are also found in mahogany seeds. Its leaves are used as manure. In such a situation, bumper profits can be earned by planting mahogany trees.

Prepare organic insecticide sitting at home with neem at low cost

In view of the ever-increasing damage to soil and yield, the use of organic pesticides is being promoted by the government. The special thing about organic pesticides is that only naturally prepared manure is used in it. For this reason, organic pesticides are beneficial for the crop and the soil in every way.

The cost of making organic pesticide is very less, as well as it is very effective. With the help of neem and cow urine, organic insecticide can be prepared sitting at home. The method of making it is very easy.

Process of making organic pesticides

First of all, fill 10 liters of water in a big vessel. Prepare a mixture by mixing 5 kg of green or dry leaves of neem, finely ground neem nimboli, 10 liters of buttermilk, 2 liters of cow urine and one kg of powdered garlic together. After this, keep this vessel covered for 5 days, keep in mind that during this, mix the solution well with the help of wood every two to three times a day.

At the same time, when this solution starts looking milky in color, then add 200 mg soap and 80 mg tepol to it. In this way, organic pesticide will be prepared by mixing natural products very easily. Which you can use in your crop. Please tell that the use of this insecticide does not cause any side effects in the soil and crop.
