The central and state governments are running many schemes to provide direct financial help to the farmers. In this sequence, the Chhattisgarh government has deposited the first installment in the accounts of the farmers of the state under the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana’. Under which an amount of Rs 1720 crore 11 lakh has been released in the accounts of the beneficiaries as the first installment.
Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, the farmers doing plantation of major Kharif crops, horticulture crops and plantation including Kodo, Kutki, Ragi have been included. To whom assistance is provided at the rate of 9 thousand to 10 thousand rupees per acre. At the same time, a plan has been made to give subsidy of about 69 thousand crore rupees to the farmers of the state this year, so that more and more farmers can take advantage of this scheme.
Apart from this, the state government has provided assistance to the beneficiaries under other two schemes. These include Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Under this, financial assistance has been given to farmers, livestock farmers, landless laborers, women belonging to self-help groups. For this, an amount of Rs 1804 crore 50 lakh has been released by the Chhattisgarh government directly into their bank accounts.
