In this state, the government is giving free gas cylinders with ration

the government is giving free gas cylinders with ration

Chhattisgarh government has made a special announcement for the BPL cardholders of the state. Under this, from now onwards, small gas cylinders of 5 kg will also be given to the cardholders along with ration. The benefit of this scheme will be available to all those people who are unable to buy a 14 kg gas cylinder due to financial constraints.

It has been seen that due to financial trouble, many people repeatedly fill gas in small cylinders at private shops. Which costs them dearly. In such a situation, the government has found the best way to remove the problems of the people. Under this, BPL cardholders will be given a small cylinder of 5 kg along with ration at the ration shops.

For this scheme, the Raipur district administration has selected the Gudhiyari police station and the Tikrapara police station. Under which gas will be supplied by HPCL company at the ration shops here. Apart from this, the company will also decide the price of the gas cylinder and the commission of the ration traders, so that no one can do black marketing of ration and gas.

Agriculture work required to be done in April

Agriculture work required to be done in April
  • Plough the field deeply, leave the field open, so that the pupae, insects, their eggs and weeds present in the soil, pathogens that spread fungal diseases are destroyed.

  • This month, do a soil test after harvesting. Soil testing measures soil pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon as well as major and micronutrient deficiencies, which can be improved over time.

  • After harvesting wheat, green manure like dhaincha, cowpea, green gram etc. can be sown to improve the health of the soil.

  • Green gram – If there is a lack of moisture in the soil, then do light irrigation. Before irrigation, weeding should be done, so that the moisture in the soil can remain for a long time. If there is a problem with thrips, aphids and jassids, spray Thiamethoxam 25% WG  [ThiaNova 25] @ 100 gm/acre.

  • Spray Homobrassinolide [Double] @ 100 ml/acre for growth and more numbers of flowers in Cucurbitaceae crops.

  • For cotton cultivation, deep ploughing and harrowing should be done 3-4 times, so that the water holding capacity increases with the friable soil. By doing this, harmful insects present in the soil, their eggs, pupae and spores of fungi will also be destroyed.

  • To prevent foot and mouth disease in animals, get vaccinated and make arrangements for digestive and nutritious fodder according to the changing season.

Start your own cold storage on government subsidy

Start your own cold storage on government subsidy

Most of the farmers have to suffer heavy losses due to a lack of proper storage. Many farmers are forced to sell their produce at low prices to avoid this loss. At the same time, with the help of cold storage, farmers are able to preserve their produce for a longer time.

However, not every farmer is financially capable to open cold storage. Taking a solution to this problem of farmers, the government has started the ‘Integrated Development Mission’. Under this scheme, farmers get grants for setting up cold storage.

Under this scheme, farmers are not given loans for setting up cold storage, but instead, the government gives them credit linked to the back-ended subsidy. The farmers of hilly areas get the maximum benefit from this scheme. They are given a subsidy of 50% of the project cost. On the other hand, in normal and plain areas, the benefit is obtained at the rate of 35% of the project cost. Apart from this, units with a capacity of more than one thousand metric tonnes also get the benefit.

To take advantage of this scheme, the applicant has to submit the proposal to the respective district offices. Where applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis.
