Damping off disease is a big problem in nursery

  • Damping-off disease in nurseries is a common disease that mostly occurs in nurseries at the seedling stage. This disease spreads very quickly and infects the seedlings and kills them.

  • This disease is caused by soil-borne fungi like Pythium / Phytophthora / Rhizoctonia / Fusarium.

  • In its symptom, brown watery sunken wounds appear on the stem near the ground. Gradually, the stem and roots rot and the seedling falls to the ground surface and dies.

  • Disease development occurs more rapidly in seedlings planted in high density, high humidity and high temperature.

  • For the management of this disease use Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 30 gm/pump or Thiophanate Methyl 70%W/W @ 50 gm/pump or Mancozeb 64% + Metalaxyl 8% WP @ 60 gm/pump.

Farmers got 2000 rupees, 10th instalment of PM Kisan Yojana was sent

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

From January 1, 2000, the 10th instalment has started coming in the bank accounts of farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. It is worth noting that under PM Kisan Yojana, the central government provides 6000 rupees every year to help the farmers of the country financially. This money is sent to the account of the farmers in three instalments. So far, the government has sent the money of 9 instalments to the accounts of the farmers. Its 10th instalment is now going into the accounts of farmers.

If a farmer has registered with this scheme but the amount has not reached his account, then he can check his status through an online medium.

To check your status:

  • Official website of the scheme? Go to pmkisan.gov.in and click on Farmer Corner. After this, you will see the beneficiary status. Now you click on it.

  • After clicking on the beneficiary status, you will have to enter your Aadhaar number, account number and mobile number. After doing so, you will get information about whether your name is on the list of beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

  • If your name is on this list and there is no mistake in it, then you will definitely get the benefit of the scheme.

Due to which the growth of the plant and the yield is reduced. White fly is the vector of the yellow vein mosaic virus in okra which is known as peliya disease.

  • In case of more outbreaks, the crop becomes completely infected, even after the crop is fully developed, there is an outbreak of this pest, due to which the leaves of the crops dry up and fall.

  • Management:- Spray Diafenthiuron 50% SP @ 250 gm or Flunicamid 50% WG @ 60 ml or Acetameprid 20% SP @ 100 gm or Pyriproxyfen 10% + Bifenthrin 10% EC @ 250 ml/acre to control this pest.
