  • Black wheat is a special variety of wheat. The name of this variety has been given by NABI as ‘Nabi MG’,  which is cultivated in a special manner. Black wheat cultivation is generally very less in India.

  • Black wheat contains up to 60 percent more iron than normal wheat and the same amount of protein, nutrients and starch.

  • Wheat contains 5 to 15 ppm of anthocyanin while in black wheat it is 40 to 140 ppm.

  • Anthocyanin is a natural antioxidant and antibiotic, which is very effective in diseases such as heart attack, cancer, sugar, mental stress, knee pain, anemia.

  • The market price of its produce is also better than that of normal wheat.

How to manage Bacterial Wilt Disease In Potato

  • Black lesions appear on the base of the affected plant.

  • In the early stages of the disease, the plant turns yellow.

  • Soft, reddish or black rings appear on the infected tuber.

  • Finally, in the last stages of the infection, the plants wilt and die.

  • For its management spray Kasugamycin 5% + Copper Oxychloride 45% WP@ 300 gram / acre or Kasugamycin 3% SL @ 400 ml / acre.

  • As a biological treatment, use Trichoderma viride @ 500 gram/acre as a soil treatment. 

  • Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gm for foliar spray.

The North-East Monsoon, also known as the Mini Monsoon, has arrived. Rain activities will intensify over Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka including the Coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. At present, there is no Western Disturbance over North India, but cold winds will bring down the temperature over Central India including North India. Weather will remain dry over North-East India also.
