Yes, this incident actually occurred in Rajasthan in the year 1644 AD when a war broke out between Bikaner and Nagaur princely states for the harvest of watermelon and thousands of soldiers were killed.

The conflict between two farm owners for the melon crop grown on the border of Bikaner and Nagaur princely state was the reason for the beginning of this war. Actually, watermelon crop was planted in the last village of Bikaner state. This watermelon vine went to the spreading village of another princely state. When the melon fruits started growing, then there was this war for claim on the same fruit. In this war, the princely state of Bikaner was won and the soldiers of Nagaur were badly defeated.

Things to remember while taking a soil’s sample

Do not take samples from the land under the tree, from the meds or the low places, where there is a pile of manure, or where water gets collected.
For soil testing, take the sample in such a way that it represents the entire field, at least 500 grams of the sample must be taken.
Remove organic materials such as crop residue, dry leaves, stalks and grasses etc. from the top surface of the soil and choose samples from 8-10 different locations according to the area of the field.
Soil sampling should be done from the depth at which the root crop is taken.
Soil samples should be collected in a clean bucket or tagari etc.
Make sure to label the sample precisely.

MP will have maximum wheat procurement on support price in entire country

In the meeting of the Central Food and Public Distribution Department, the targets were set by different states of the country to purchase wheat on MSP. In this meeting, Madhya Pradesh has been given a target of purchasing 135 lakh tonnes of wheat. Explain that this goal is the highest among all the states of the country.

After Madhya Pradesh, Punjab has been given a target of buying 130 lakh tonnes of wheat. Among other states, Haryana has been targeted to purchase 80 lakh tonnes, Uttar Pradesh 55 lakh tonnes, Rajasthan 22 lakh tonnes, Uttarakhand 2.20 lakh tonnes, Gujarat 1.5 lakh tonnes and Bihar 1 lakh tonnes.

How to control Aphid in Green gram

Aphids are small, soft-bodied small insects that can be yellow, brown, green, or black.
They usually suck the sap from the plant by forming groups on the corners of small leaves and twigs and secrete sticky substance (honeydew), which increases the chances of fungal diseases.
Leaves and twigs may wither or become yellow due to severe infestation.
Spraying of Thiamethoxam 25% WG @ 100 gram/acre or Imidacloprid 17.8 %SL @ 100 ml/acre or Flonicamid 50% WG @ 60 gram/ acre to protect against aphid.
Use Beauveria Bassiana @ 250 gram/acre as biological treatment.

How to prevent loose smut disease in wheat

This is a seed borne disease ,and it’s caused by a fungus called ustilago segetum.
The infected seed appears to be healthy.
Symptoms of this disease are visible only when spikes are formed. In infected plants in spikes black powder ( spores) found instead of grains
Which also infects seeds produced in other healthy spikes by being suspended in the air.
Seed treatment is the best way to control this disease.
Apart from this, for the control of this disease use Kasugamycin 5% + Copper oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre or Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 600 gram/acre or Tebuconazole 10% + Sulfur 65% WG @ 500 gram/acre
Spray Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gram/acre as a biological treatment.

Combine harvesters, tractors, power tillers and other agricultural implements are highly priced and tax on these instruments is also high, due to which many farmers are unable to use it. In view of this problem of farmers, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a major decision.

In fact, the government of Madhya Pradesh has decided to reduce the huge tax on agricultural implements. In the cabinet meeting held on this issue, it was decided that the tax on agricultural implements has now been reduced by 9%. Explain that earlier, in Madhya Pradesh, farmers had to pay 10% tax on the purchase of agricultural implements, but now it has been reduced to just 1%.
